Bubbling pear juice, completely alcohol-free. Delicious and completely pure nature. Pear juice with subtle added carbonation, nothing more. Sounds simple, but is nicely layered in flavour, with sours, bitters and, of course, the essential sweetness.
Technically not cider, or poiré, as the juice has never been fermented, only pasteurised. Le Pétiot is made from cider pears from unsprayed orchards in Normandy, from trees that can be up to 300 years old. Tasted and pre-tasted and assembled every year at the Pacory family kitchen table. Always full of flavour, but also beautifully fresh, fine acidity, subtle bubble, finally a worthy alcohol-free alternative. For those who don’t want to drink alcohol, but still want to enjoy a nice glass.
Fine-bodied, light-bodied, elegant, it really is a delicious drink. For your pregnant girlfriend, for a picnic, for breakfast, for the kids who also like a glass (my son calls it pear champagne for example!), for your detox week, dry January, you name it.
