Folicello – l Pignoletto DOC 2023

A dry sparkling (frizzante) white wine, the Pignoletto offers a refined and aromatic taste experience that highlights its unique character and elegance.

With a pale yellow-green hue, the wine greets you with fresh aromas of fruit and flowers. Striking notes of citrus fruits such as apple and peach mingle with delicate floral notes of acacia and white blossom, creating a fine bouquet!

On the palate, the wine is full and rich, nicely balanced with vibrant fruit. The balanced structure combines satisfying weight with lively freshness, resulting in a refreshing yet layered experience.

A subtle minerality, from the region’s mineral-rich soil, adds depth and complexity and enhances the wine’s distinct personality. 

A beautifully refined aroma, with a pure expression of the Grechetto Gentile grape in a refreshing pet-nat style.

Fattoria di Sammontana – Prunecchio 2023

An elegant blend from Fattoria, with a beautiful blend of three grape varieties. 

Highly drinkable, and at the same time an excellent complement to a variety of dishes. Silky, fine acidity leads to a beautiful, full and rich finish with ripe apple fruit. 

A balanced blend of three grape varieties from Tuscany, vintage 2023 offers a seductive aroma with fruit notes of peach, white flowers (Trebbiano), and tropical, spicy accents (Malvasia) with light citrus notes of lime and grapefruit (Sauvignon). The palate features lively acidity from Sauvignon, a balanced mix of citrus and stone fruits, with exotic fruit, and mild spiciness from Malvasia for flavour complexity. The mouthfeel is round and silky thanks to Trebbiano, with a medium body and a lingering finish with refreshing citrus notes and subtle minerality. Overall, this wine presents itself as elegant and balanced, suitable for lovers of lively white wines as well as wines with more body and complexity.

Vines: 30 years old.

Alcohol 13.5% alc.

Vinification: Gentle pressing, slow spontaneous fermentation on natural yeasts in steel.

 

Fattoria di Sammontana – Chianti 0,75 2022

Young, fresh and vibrant, light to medium-bodied, this classic bottle reflects the estate’s traditional style. 

For the 2022 vintage, this Chianti is flavourful, elegant and in very good balance, with a spicy, peppery and rich characteristic that is perfect for the festive season.

It has a lively and fresh character with aromas of red fruits like cherries and strawberries. Light floral notes, such as violets or roses. Spicy elements such as thyme, oregano or black pepper add diversity to the flavour. Because of Tuscany’s rich soils, Chianti wines have earthy notes, varying aromas from leather to tobacco. 

It is medium-bodied, with a good balance of fruitiness, acidity and tannins. The lively acidity is known for its refreshing character and makes Chianti pair well with food.

Region: Tuscany, Italy.

Grapes: Sangiovese 90%, Canaiolo 10%. 

Vines: 15-40 years old.

Vinification: Maceration and slow spontaneous fermentation on its own yeasts in glazed cement tanks with regular pump overs and punch downs. Aged in steel and concrete vats, the wine is bottled without filtration.
